Global Changemakers Speaker Series presents Richard Booth, brought to you by the Canadian Academy of Nursing
Meet Dr. Richard Booth — Artificial Intelligence and Technology Educator and Innovator, Canada and Associate Professor, Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing, Western University Dr. Richard Booth is a leading Canadian thinker and innovator in the intersecting worlds of health care, social media, robotics and artificial intelligence. Prepare to be challenged as Richard imagines ways we may work alongside robots in health care — one of the many ways we can think about using technology to extend our reach, support our practice, and let nurses focus on the work that really needs a human touch. And Richard will challenge us all to consider the broader issue of compassionate care in the light of these technologies. The COVID-19 pandemic has made clear that compassionate care needs to be thought about in way deeper ways as we move into the future working with artificial intelligence and automation. How should we think about the ways providers and those receiving care will interact with all these technologies, and what strategies could help maximize their success? Join us for an engaging, future-focused conversation!

Fellows of the Academy will be invited to attend an exclusive 30-minute conversation session with the speaker after the presentation.

The Global Changemakers Speakers Series is generously supported by the Estate of the late Norma Jean Murphy, RN, PhD.
